BSc Nursing is a 4-year undergraduate program that focuses on the training and theoretical knowledge to become a nurse. The eligibility criteria to pursue a BSc nursing course is securing a minimum of 45% – 50% marks in class 10 and class 12 examinations with PCB and English as core subjects. Candidates must be at least 17 years old as of December 31st while seeking BSc Nursing course admission.
BSc Nursing Admission is based on the NEET UG exam for most of the central and state universities followed by a counseling round; however, some universities like AIIMS conduct their own entrance exams for admission to BSc nursing. The upper age limit to appear for the BSc Nursing Course through NEET has been scrapped.
BSc Nursing Job opportunities include community health nurse, registered nurse, nursing superintendent, military nurses, and more. Nurses can expect to earn INR 2.5 – 3 lakhs as a fresher, and INR 5 – 6 lakhs per annum for over 5 years of experience. They can further pursue MSc Nursing or a professional diploma in nursing or specializations for better career prospects.
